This week has flown by....in some ways and in others not.
Last Saturday we went to lunch with Grandmother (Kay), Uncle Greg, Aunt Dee and Gabi to Casa Ole. Blaine shared ice cream with mommy afterwards....this was his ice cream cone face since I was trying to feed it to him while I was up front and he was in the back.
We went to (Great) Aunt Rachel and (Great) Uncle Bob's to meet the family for lunch after church. Blaine and Gabi had a blast playing with Anna.
We love you Daddy (Scott)!!
(This was after lunch...ha! We decided to strip Blaine since he was such a mess:) )
Blaine and Daddy playing and laughing.
Blaine loves books....and even if it looks like he's not paying attention, trust me, the minute you stop reading, he starts letting you know that he realizes. This is Cousin David reading to Blaine.
Blaine busted his lip twice this week....once on each side. He loves the boo-boo bunny though....so much that he insisted on sleeping with it after the first time he busted his lip. The boo-boo bunny is a reusable ice block inside a 'bunny' ice pack to help with swelling.
Wednesday morning, Blaine and I (mommy) met some friends at Tanglewood Splashpad to play. That afternoon (after Blaine's nap), Daddy, Blaine and I went to Bryan Aquatic Center kiddie pool.
Blaine loved crawling up and down the slope into and out of the water.
Blaine already wants to use the remote to control the TV.
Wednesday night Grandmother came over for her birthday dinner. We had hamburgers and cake afterwards. It was fun celebrating, but we missed Granddaddy; he's in Estonia.
Blaine was sure happy to help celebrate and eat birthday cake.
Thursday afternoon, Ms. Loretta (our neighbor) came over and played with Blaine.
Thursday evening, Erin came over and we hosted two girls from FBC Rosenburg that were on their mission trip. We had a good time.....most of the girls from the rest of the group came over, ate Scott's homemade ice cream and hung out before going to their host homes for the night. We really enjoyed hosting Leigh Ann and Rachel and feel so blessed that God has provided us with a place to live that we were able to host them. By the way, Scott's homemade ice was wonderful!
(This was after lunch...ha! We decided to strip Blaine since he was such a mess:) )
Blaine loves suckers....but doesn't like it when they are gone, but who does?
Friday, Blaine and I went to the library to get some new library books. And before the day was over.....we read 26 different books....yes, that was 26....and some of the books we read more than once!!! The boy loves loves loves books....I've never seen anything like it!
This morning, Pops, myself and Blaine went to Crestview (where I work) to try and feed the ducks. We learned #1 Blaine will only eat the bread when you give it to him to throw to the ducks (see picture) and #2 it doesn't matter that Blaine decided to eat the bread instead of feed the ducks/fish, because the Crestview ducks are not interested at all in bread.
Pops came in to town Friday evening and Blaine even had Pops read several books....
what a precious picture:)
