8 years....
8 years, how they have come,
and now are gone,
leaving us with the wonderful memories that fill our minds so strong.
We can't believe it,
that we celebrate today....our BIG guy is 8 years old already!
The time has flown.
As I ponder,
I wonder if I stopped enough to just watch you....
watch you as you play and work,
watch you take things in for the first time,
watch all your "firsts".
These past 8 years have been some of the brightest,
happiest, and wonderful, we have ever experienced.
And it's all because we had you in them!
You are so smart and inquisitive,
yet seem to know it all.
You know you must listen and obey,
but yet, we watch you often try to find your own way.
You have a sense of strength, but gentle all the while.
You are a leader, encouraging others.
You absolutely light us up when we hear and see you, laugh and smile.
You are one special kid, Blaine!
With God, there's nothing you can't do!
We know you are loved so dearly by our God,
He has many great plans for you!
We are some really blessed parents!
We are glad to call you ours.
We hope you always know and feel how much we love you!
We want to always be so close.
But above it all, we hope you know God loves you and He celebrates YOU with us today!
