Baby Jude!

Remember my previous blog post about my Saturday after the Bama/LSU game?....

The loss wasn't as bad when I got a phone call from my best friend,

Rachel saying her water had broken.

A few hours later (I'm sure which seemed more like an eternity later to Rachel

and Jerrett, her hubby and one of my hubby's best friends)

they welcomed their little boy,

JUDE KEATON WILLIAMS into the world!!

Jude was born at 8:22 am....

A few minutes after Jude was born, he was taken to the NICU for respiratory distress.

Jude stayed in the NICU for a total of 6 days.

For a good portion of that time, Rachel and Jerrett could not hold him,

as the doctors were concerned that he'd get too much stimulation.

After lots of prayer and time, Jude's respiratory stats lowered and stabilized

and Rachel and Jerrett were able to hold him!! And Rachel was able to nurse:)

Then after even more time, and a few days after Rachel was discharged from the hospital,

Jude was taken off the oxygen.

Just look at this sweet little guy....

(I think he looks like his daddy:)....sorry Rach....but at least his daddy is handsome!;) )

Sweet, sweet!

This is having your heart outside your body!!

Jude was finally discharged on Saturday.

Look at this precious boy!

I want to eat him up!

Everyone, including Maggie (the dog) has enjoyed Jude being home!

We can't wait to meet him!

And hold him!

and kiss him!!:)
