Where the journey of life leads....

It has been awhile since our last post.
We have been busy, extremely busy.
The past 1 1/2 months has been a somewhat of a whirlwind.

We've been packing boxes and saying goodbyes.
We've been looking forward to the future, but cherishing the memories of the past.
We've been getting our house ready to be put on the market,
and looking for a new house to make our home.

That's because after lots of prayers, thinking and talking,
we've decided to move to MS.
Scott will be taking a job at the Windsor nursing and rehab, part of
Plantation Pointe, which is our family business.

Our decision has been bittersweet in many ways,
as we will miss friends and family terribly,
but we are very excited to see what the Lord has in store!

Here are just a few pictures of the past few weeks.....

A going away party that Rachel and Jerrett threw for us at their house.
The media team at FBCBryan also threw an "ALOHA" party to say goodbye to us
and hello to the new media director and his wife
(which they are from MS...ha! and she is and SLP).....I did not get any pictures:(
We had many other dinner dates and times spent with family and friends in our last
few days in BCS.
We sure were blessed with awesome friends in Bryan/College Station;
one of our prayers as we move to MS is that the Lord would
help us to quickly find amazing friends.
(We are fortunate as we do already have some great friends in MS)

After lots of packing and decluttering, we finally put our house on the market on August 25.

But a few weeks later, we were completely packed and the movers were there to move us.
The movers came last Sunday and Monday to load all of our furniture and boxes.

Our stuff almost took up this entire truck......
Although we know it is not about what you have, seeing all of our things,
was a reminder of just how blessed we are.

We are officially in MS now; staying with Mammaw and Pappaw.
Scott starts his job on Monday.
We will be starting to look for a church tomorrow.
After we decided to move to MS, we made about a week trip to look for houses;
we did end up eventually finding a house--that is perfect might I add--and are
scheduled to close on it Tuesday. (More on the house later.)

I wish we had more pictures to help document the past few weeks, but
we didn't do too well taking them.
And sorry for the late post....it's been (a good kind of) crazy here.
