The past 3 weeks have been a bit of a worldwind....

Welcoming baby Walt into the world and getting to know him

has been such a joy....and somewhat tiredsome.

Walt was born Wednesday, August 4 weighing 9lbs and measuring 21 inches.

He had (and has) a head full of hair. Walt is such a sweet baby (by day....but nights...well, Scott and I are adjusting to no sleep...ha!)

Walt came home on Friday August 6. The next few days we made several trips to the doctor for weight checks because Walt had lost so much weight (he got down to 7 lbs 15 oz.). Turns out though, we must have been given the wrong discharge weight. Confusing story, but the bottom line....we have a healthy boy:)!

On a lighter note, we have had a lot of fun with family and friends since Walt's birth.

We've had several out of town guests and we have enjoyed lots of time with family & friends that are in town. My Mammaw and Pappaw were able to come stay with us for 5 days. Blaine had an absolute blast soaking up tons of attention:)....Walt enjoyed being held and Scott & myself enjoyed the quality time, awesome meals, and shopping trips.

My Aunt Linda was in town this past weekend, which was lots of fun and we are looking forward to Gigi's visit in less than 2 weeks and Pop and Aunt Avery's visit in September too.

It's been nice having family that lives close too....we've had lots of fun hanging out with Grandmother and Granddaddy, who've helped a ton taking care of Blaine and Walt. We've had lots of Scott's family come visit.....Aunt Brea and Uncle Jeff, Aunt Dee and Uncle Greg and Gabi, Great Uncle Carl and Great Aunt Pam, Great Aunt Leslie and Great Uncle Mike and Lindsay......and all the family who came to see us in the hospital, Great Aunt Rachel and cousin Anna, Great-Great Aunt Kay......

And we've also been extremely blessed by our wonderful friends.....
