Today, September 22, Blaine is 5 months old. There will be a future post with the infamous giraffe, elephant, and lion. Just like most of the south east, Texas had a very dreary day with lots of rain and hardly any sunshine. This picture portrays Blaine's mood today pretty well. Usually walks (and really just being outside) make Blaine a happy boy. Blaine scoured most of the walk and really most of the day.
Blaine started eating rice cereal for the first time yesterday, September 21. This came after approximately 2 months of Shannon begging me to start solid food. Blaine took several bites and then we remembered to take photos and video.

Pappaw joined in the fun over
Skype. Eating is learning for all three of us. I am not sure if Blaine got any of the food down but we tried and had a good time.
This was the feeding today, September 22; Again Blaine was happy to eat. Most of the food ended up on his face, clothing, and the table. But we had a great time with the next step in
Blaine's development.
