Traveling Blaine

Well if it seems like it's been awhile since the last post....that's because it has.

Scott, Blaine and myself made a Mississippi trip so that Blaine could meet some more of his family....and it was so much fun! The amazing part was that Blaine made a 9 1/2 to 10 hour trip in 10 1/2 hours.....we were so excited! While in Mississippi Blaine was able to meet Uncle Peyton, MaMa Belle, Jr., Papa D (Dennis), Mr. and Mrs. Lee, "Aunt" Laura, Uncle Ken, Shelby, Taylor, Aunt Madison, Aunt Wanda, Mallory, Aunt Jammie, Uncle Paul, Lindsay, Colby, Aunt Linda, Mr. Randy, Grandpa, Rebecca, briefly Kelly Jo.

When we left Mississippi, we headed to the beach in Florida to meet Mammaw, Pappaw, Olivia and Carson. On our way down, we meet Pops, Charlotte and Avery in Yellow Pines, AL (a store) on side of the road. It was Blaine's first beach trip and daddy's first beach trip to Florida. Our stay there was fun!!.....and we did get some beach pictures, which we'll try to post later.

Well, Blaine has started smiling and cooing ALOT!!! It is absolutely precious and makes everything all worth it! He also FINALLY lost his umbilical cord this morning.....too bad it didn't come off while in FL, so Blaine could get in the water....but we are just glad it finally came off. We were starting to get worried. Blaine also is now wearing size 1 diapers....pretty funny when growth is measured by diaper size...ha....but our little man really is growing like a weed....he is so long. We "weighed" him on the scale with both mommy and daddy while in MS and both times the scales indicated he weighed about 10-11 pounds. Now we are wondering just how much he officially does weigh.....he's so big and after holding him for some time he definetly feels like 10-11 pounds!!!

  1. Hi, Shannon and Scott! Glad that you made it back home safe and sound. It was so great to see all of you. Blaine is a beautiful baby. I look forward to watching him grow and mature into the wonderful man I know he will be. You two are excellent parents. I am very proud.
